The College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM), IUBAT, organized a seminar titled “Emerging Opportunities and Professional Trajectories in the Aviation and Hospitality Sectors” on 11 August 2026. The seminar brought together industry experts, faculty members, and participants for an insightful discussion on the evolving landscape of aviation, hospitality, and tourism.

The seminar featured Mr. Kazi Wahid ul Alam, Editor, The Bangladesh Monitor; Mr. T. Kevin McIntyre, General Manager, Hyatt Place Dhaka Uttara; and Mr. Saif Ul Alam Tanzu, Associate Director of Sales, InterContinental Dhaka. The speakers shared valuable perspectives on emerging career opportunities, industry trends, professional development, and career pathways within the aviation and hospitality sectors.

The discussion highlighted the changing demands of the industry and the importance of developing relevant skills and professional competencies to navigate the growing opportunities in aviation, hospitality, and tourism. The speakers also shared practical insights from their industry experience, offering participants a broader understanding of potential career trajectories in the sector.

Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahmudur Rahman, Pro Vice-Chancellor; Professor Selina Nargis, Treasurer & Director Administration; and Dr. Mohammad Badruddoza Talukder, Chairman, College of Tourism and Hospitality Management, joined the session alongside faculty members and participants.
