IUBAT and Electromart Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry and create new opportunities for academic, professional, and industry engagement. The MoU was signed on 4 August 2026.
The MoU signing ceremony brought together senior officials and representatives from both organizations, reflecting a shared commitment to developing stronger connections between higher education and the professional sector. The collaboration is expected to support opportunities for students and professionals through greater industry engagement and knowledge exchange.
The ceremony was attended by Professor Dr. Abdur Rab, Vice-Chancellor, IUBAT; Professor Selina Nargis, Treasurer & Director, Administration; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahmudur Rahman, Pro Vice-Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Md. Momtazur Rahman, Registrar; Brig. Gen. Dr. Md. Zahid Hossain (Retd.), Controller of Examinations; Md. Sadekul Islam, Director, International Program Office; AKM Sharfuddin, Director, Placement & Alumni Office; Md. Alamin Sikder Shihab, Director; Dr. Hasanuzzaman Tushar, Associate Professor & BBA Coordinator; Dr. Raton Kumar Nondy, Professor & Chair, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering; and Dr. Khadiza Akter (Bonna), Associate Professor & Coordinator, Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, along with representatives from Electromart Limited.
The MoU marks another step toward expanding university-industry collaboration and building meaningful pathways for students and professionals to connect academic learning with practical industry experience. Through this partnership, IUBAT and Electromart Limited aim to explore opportunities that contribute to professional development, industry exposure, and knowledge sharing.
