A discussion meeting and Doa Mahfil were held today at IUBAT in observance of the 9th death anniversary of its former Pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor Mahmuda Khanom, to honor her life and lasting contributions to the university.
Observed annually on 24 April, her death anniversary serves as a solemn reminder of her remarkable legacy as the first Pro-Vice-Chancellor of IUBAT. The program brought together faculty members, officers, and staff, who reflected on her visionary leadership, unwavering dedication, and compassionate approach that played a pivotal role in shaping the institution’s foundation and values.
Speakers at the event highlighted how Professor Khanom’s commitment to academic excellence and inclusive education left a profound and enduring impact on generations of students, faculty, and staff. Her contributions continue to inspire the IUBAT community and remain deeply embedded in the university’s journey.
The event concluded with prayers seeking eternal peace for her departed soul. May Allah (SWT) grant her mercy and the highest place in Jannatul-Firdaus.
