
The College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) of IUBAT—International University of Business Agriculture and Technology successfully organized a meaningful seminar titled “Career Opportunities in Artificial Intelligence within the Hospitality Industry” on Monday, July 21, 2025. The event highlighted the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in transforming the global hospitality landscape and explored the emerging career avenues for students in this rapidly evolving field.
The seminar was held on the IUBAT campus and was attended by a distinguished panel of guests, including Prof. Dr. Abdur Rab, Honorable Vice-Chancellor of IUBAT, and Prof. Dr. Mohammad Mahmudur Rahman, Pro Vice-Chancellor. Also present were Dr. Mohammad Badruddoza Talukder, Chairman of CTHM, Farzana Al Ferdous, Coordinator of CTHM, faculty members, officials, and a large gathering of students.
The seminar commenced with the national anthem and a welcome address by Dr. Mohammad Badruddoza Talukder, who emphasized the need for aligning academic curricula with technological advancements. The session was moderated by Mr. Sazzadur Rahman, Lecturer at CTHM. The keynote speech was delivered by Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain, Assistant Professor at the University of Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. In his address, Dr. Hossain shed light on how AI is reshaping the hospitality sector—from predictive guest analytics and personalized service to intelligent automation of routine hotel operations. He also discussed the essential skills future professionals need to thrive in an AI-integrated hospitality environment.
The event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the faculty, students, and members of ITHMS – IUBAT Tourism and Hospitality Management Society. It served as a platform to inspire the next generation of tourism and hospitality leaders to harness the potential of AI and drive the industry forward.
