The Freshmen Initiation Program Spring 2026 of the International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT), located in North Dhaka, was successfully held at the university’s own campus. The event took place on Saturday, 31 January, in the university’s green and scenic environment, creating a festive and welcoming atmosphere. Fresh students from different parts of the country, along with their guardians, participated enthusiastically, making the program lively and vibrant.
During the program, freshers were introduced to IUBAT’s mission and vision, academic regulations, career services, library and IT facilities, student organizations and co-curricular activities, transportation system, and other facilities through documentary videos. In addition, students were provided with a comprehensive overview of the university’s overall activities and student-friendly environment.
The program was presided over by IUBAT’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Abdur Rab. The chief guest of the program was legendary marketing expert and corporate personality Dr. Syed Alamgir. Inspirational speeches were delivered to the freshers by IUBAT’s Treasurer, Professor Selina Nargis; Registrar, Professor Dr. Md Momtazur Rahman; Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Dr. Md Monirul Islam; Dean of the Faculty of Business, Professor Dr. Mozzaffar Alam Chowdhury; and faculty members from various departments.
In their addresses, the speakers emphasized the importance of ethics, leadership, innovative thinking, research-based education, and practical learning for students. They also highlighted the significance of time management, creative problem-solving, teamwork skills, and participation in social service activities. At the same time, they urged collective efforts to establish IUBAT as a reliable center for knowledge, research, innovative initiatives, and career development.
The event provided a unique and memorable experience for the freshers, instilling confidence and enthusiasm at the start of their university journey. It also offered students the opportunity to feel IUBAT as a family, where values, leadership, and social responsibility are cultivated alongside academic learning.
