The International University of Business Agriculture and Technology (IUBAT) warmly welcomed its fresh batch of students for Fall 2025 through an Initiation Program held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the university’s Open Auditorium.

The program was designed to familiarize the newcomers with IUBAT’s education system, services, and facilities to ensure a smooth and enriching academic journey.

Dr. Md. Shohidullah Miah, Professor, College of Agricultural Sciences, delivered the Initiation Speech. The event was graced by the presence of the Dr. Mohammad Kaykobad Distinguished Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at BRAC University, who attended as the Chief Guest and inspired the freshmen with a motivational address. In addition, Visiting Faculty from Canada, Taylor Ewerth, delivered a special speech to encourage students on their new academic journey.

In his presidential address, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdur Rab emphasized IUBAT’s commitment to preparing students for success in both life and career. He advised the new entrants to embrace the challenges of quality higher education with dedication and perseverance.

The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Registrar Prof. Dr. Md. Momtazur Rahman. The deans, department chairs, coordinators, controller of examinations, and other senior administrative officers introduced themselves and their respective units, ensuring the students were acquainted with the university’s key leadership. Faculty members teaching the freshmen were also formally introduced.

Earlier, the new students toured the university’s green campus and explored its physical facilities, including classrooms, laboratories, seminar halls, and indoor recreation areas.

With its welcoming spirit and strong academic guidance, IUBAT continues its mission of nurturing competent graduates and global citizens.
